GEOPVC is a high-performance pressure pipe produced with oriented PVC (OPVC) technology. The molecular orientation process aligns polymer molecules along the pipe axis, increasing tensile, fatigue, and impact resistance significantly over conventional uPVC. The result: thinner-wall, lighter pipe at the same pressure class. The line is fully compliant with ISO 16422 and EN 17176-2 for irrigation mains, drinking-water networks, fire-suppression systems, and pumping lines. Standard production covers DN 90–500 mm in 6 m lengths; DN 630–1200 mm available made-to-order. Pressure classes PN 12.5, 16, 20, and 25 are supplied. How is oriented PVC (OPVC) different from standard uPVC?
In conventional PVC pipe, polymer molecules are randomly oriented. The OPVC production process aligns molecules axially, producing a "layered" microstructure visible even to the naked eye. Axial alignment gives the pipe materially higher resistance to tensile and internal-pressure stress than uPVC: at the same pressure class, OPVC has lower wall thickness, lower weight, and lower hydraulic loss.
Lower wall = lower transport cost, faster installation, greater internal diameter at the same PN class (and therefore higher hydraulic capacity). Axial alignment also raises impact and fatigue resistance — cracking risk near freezing conditions is materially lower than uPVC.
