What is EAEU certification and why is it mandatory
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) unites Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan into a single customs zone. Products imported into or produced in this zone must comply with the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union (TR TS) — the EAEU equivalent of the European CE mark. Without correctly issued documents, customs clearance is impossible and operation is formally illegal.
For subsurface drip irrigation and OPVC pressure pipe, several regulations apply simultaneously. TR TS 010/2011 (machine and equipment safety) covers filtration units and pump groups. TR TS 005/2011 (packaging safety) applies to transport packaging. For drip lines and OPVC pipe itself, the practical route is voluntary GOST R certification plus declaration of conformity under TR TS 010 for components with moving parts.

How EAEU certification differs from ISO
ISO 16422 (oriented PVC pressure pipe) and EN 17176-2 are European/international standards that Geoflow Türkiye products meet. These standards confirm technical quality and longevity — burst pressure, fatigue cycling, ring stiffness. ISO certificates concern the project engineer choosing the pipe.
TR TS EAEU is an authorisation document for circulation in the Union. It does not confirm technical superiority — it confirms the product meets minimum safety requirements. TR TS interests customs officers, lending banks, government buyers, and inspectors.
A good distributor supplies both packages: ISO/EN for technical justification and EAEU for legal circulation. Geoflow Türkiye holds both; Terra-Zenith hands copies of both to the customer before acceptance.
How to verify a certificate is genuine
Russia maintains a Single Register of TR TS Certificates and Declarations at the Federal Service for Accreditation (fsa.gov.ru). Entering a declaration number returns: validity status, scope of product covered, issuing body, expiry. This is the reliable way to confirm a document is not counterfeit.
Cross-check: compare the full manufacturer name on the declaration with packaging and invoice. Mismatches are a red flag. Geoflow Türkiye has a unique registration number that must match across documents.
For state and tender procurement, additionally request an official extract from the single register with an electronic seal — banks and buyers commonly require it.
What changes in 2026
From 2025 Rosaccreditation tightened requirements on foreign manufacturers: an authorised representative on EAEU territory is required to file documents. Can equipment be bought without a TR TS declaration from a private importer?
Technically yes, but risk is high. At first inspection (Rosselkhoznadzor, tax, lending bank), declaration will be requested. Without it the equipment is deemed illegally placed on the market — fines and removal orders follow.
Does EAEU certification cover all system components or only pipes?
Coverage depends on the regulation. GEOPVC pipe — TR TS 010 declaration. Filtration and pump groups — separate declaration. GEOFLOW drip tape — voluntary GOST R, since no mandatory regulation applies.
